Teijin produces knitwear materials with moisture-draining film

27-12-2017

Teijin Frontier Co. Ltd. (Japan) recently announced that the company has developed high-grade woven textile materials that are pasted with moisture-draining film to produce thin, low-weight, moisture-draining textiles. Teijin Frontier will sell new material primarily for spring / summer sportswear in 2019.

Textile materials with moisture-retaining film have been used extensively in high performance sportswear due to moisture, water resistance, light weight and elasticity. The soft and elastic fabric that is attached to the film will meet the increasing demand for comfortable and functional clothing for many occasions, but traditional double-layer knitwear uses texturized yarn. There are limits when it comes to relatively light and thin materials. Teijin Frontier has solved these problems with new dyeing and stitching technologies to produce knitwear on high end machines using non-woven fibers.

The new Teijin Frontier is thin, light and compact as well as elastic, visually stable and moisture-drained. Materials glossy, matted, smooth surface texture and soft beautiful.

TeijinFrontier's diverse technologies are incorporated in the new material including filament yarn with polymer technology, ultra-thin filament yarn filament technology and dyeing technology, and fluff control. The Teijin Frontier technology allows knitting of non-textured fibers on high end machines and machining elastic films onto knitwear.
