On a careful basis, total garment exports in the period of 7 / 2017-2 / 2018 reached $ 20.25 billion, up 8.68% over the previous year ($ 18.6 billion). The cumulative value exceeding the strategic export target set for the period 7 / 2017-2 / 2018 must reach $ 19.6 billion is 3.2%.

Bangladesh exports of $ 3.07 billion in February also surpassed the $ 3.03 billion export target of 1.39%, which is up 13.53% from the previous year's value of $ 2. , $ 7 billion).

Notably, in January of this year, garment exports reached $ 2.88 billion, almost the same level as in December 2017. Note that in September last year garment exports were down sharply to $ 1.62 billion before showing signs of recovery.
