01-06-2018

Proposals will be taken to the European Parliament and the Council for consideration. The proposal can then be applied 24 months after publication in the Official Journal of the EU.

Once this restriction is in effect, garments and related articles, textiles and footwear containing substances on the list, whether manufactured in the EU or imported into the EU, will not be allowed. launched in the EU market.

Restricted substances may be present in garments, textiles and footwear, either from the manufacturing process or because they are deliberately added to specific properties such as fabric protection. Coat or anti-crease. Consumers may be exposed to these hazardous substances through skin contact, inhalation or unintentional ingestion of dirt released from textile fibers. Young children are at risk from oral exposure (chewing on textiles).
