Export markets such as the US, EU, Japan and South Korea have many positive signs when many textile and garment enterprises now have export orders until the third quarter of this year.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that in May and the first 5 months of the year, the textile, garment and footwear industry had more signs of improvement than in the same period last year. Some of Vietnam's main export markets gradually recovered and made good use of opportunities from the signed and implemented Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).

In particular, the US, EU, Japan and Korean markets have many positive signs when many textile and garment enterprises now have export orders until the third quarter of this year. The shopping demand of US and European consumers for clothes and shoes increased sharply as the economy recovered due to the gradual lifting of the blockade order.
The textile production index in May increased by 2.2% over the previous month and by 9.9% over the same period in 2020; the apparel manufacturing industry increased by 2.1% and 12.9%, respectively; leather and related products industry increased by 8.1% and 21.2% respectively. Sharing about business results in the first months of the year, Mr. Than Duc Viet, General Director of Garment 10 Corporation, said that there is a big contrast in the business's operations today compared to 2020. When affected by The Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, May 10 has cut off supply and demand, because 90% of products are mainly exported to the US, European and Japanese markets. In the second quarter of 2020, May 10 had to stop production because partners stopped ordering, capital was stuck in raw materials and labor wages.
“But this year, the story is opposite when there are too many orders and not enough work. That shows, the complicated epidemic situation has made it difficult for businesses to both ensure the repayment of partners' debt orders and ensure the safety of epidemic prevention at member units, "said Mr. Viet.

According to Mr. Viet, with the garment industry, taking 1 working day has also greatly affected the delivery schedule. If a business has a case of Covid-19 infection, it will have to close for 21 days, which is a loss of 7% of the total working time of the whole year. Therefore, doing well in epidemic prevention and control is identified by enterprises as a top important task. At the same time, businesses are forced to calculate all situations and have specific solutions to steer the boat through the pandemic.

According to Dang Vu Hung, General Director of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), in 2021, Vinatex has set production and business goals based on the actual development situation of the Yarn - Textile - Garment system. . The targets of the first and second quarters were surpassed by the Group, but in the third and fourth quarters, the situation faced difficulties due to the strong outbreak of the fourth wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam.
It is forecasted that from June to August 2021 is a stressful time for garment enterprises in completing and delivering goods, enterprises in the group absolutely do not let the epidemic make their production and business plans in the unit suffer. stagnation.

Therefore, in the immediate future, the whole corporation needs to carry out epidemic prevention work at a high level. Then, together with the 5K solution and vaccination against Covid-19, the group believes that it can ensure the force for the production and business activities of the member enterprises to be smooth and continuous, ensuring the completion of the target. The Group's target set for 2021
