President of VITAS presided over the conference of garment enterprises in Can Tho

On 17/08/2018 in Ho Chi Minh City. Can Tho, Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) held a meeting of textile and garment enterprises in the Southwest region to exchange the situation of textile and garment industry in the first 6 months of 2018, solutions for the last 6 months 2018 as well as the prospects of the next years. Mr. Vu Duc Giang - Chairman of VITAS attended and chaired the meeting.

Opening remarks, Mr. Vu Duc Giang - President of VITAS announced the situation of the textile and garment industry in the first 6 months of 2018, in which export markets: large markets still maintain high growth rate as the United States increased 9.96% accounting for 46.4%; CPTPP countries increased by 23.27%, accounting for 17.2%, of which Japan increased 24.66%, accounting for 12.6%; EU increased 13.3%, accounting for 13.9%; South Korea increased by 23.1%, accounting for 9.4%; China increased by 49.7%, accounting for 4.8%. According to the structure, the United States, Japan, the EU, South Korea and China are the major markets of Vietnam textile. Regarding the prospect of the textile and garment industry in 2018 and the following years, Mr. Giang said that although there are many challenges both within the industry as well as from the outside, efforts must be made to overcome the possibility that the remaining 6 months may reaching USD 18.5 - 19 billion over 1 - 1.5 billion USD compared with the plan. 2018 could reach $ 34 to $ 34.5 billion,

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Van, Deputy Director of TCTG's Marketing Department, mentioned the inadequacies related to logistics facilities and services in the South, the Mekong Delta region ( Mekong Delta and the TCSG solutions implemented to improve the efficiency of logistics services for Mekong Delta businesses. Ms. Van said that, implementing the guideline "bringing port to customers", TCSG has invested, managed to exploit 07 port facilities in the Mekong Delta, including Cai Cui New Port - a large container port and It is the only port that can receive containerized container liners directly from inside Asia, as well as deploying many solutions to support businesses. TCSG will strengthen connectivity, exchange information with textile enterprises,

 

Mr. Saurav Ujjain - Head of Threadsol VN Company introduced Intellocut

The delegates listened to Mr. Saurav Ujjain - Head of Threadsol VN Company introduced the global technology trend and methods for artificial intelligence to help garment enterprises compete in the international market, especially is Intellocut technology solution. The participants also suggested that Threadsol had a software solution to synchronize all stages of the entire manufacturing process and to enable businesses to visit units that successfully implemented Intellocut.

At the conference, Mr. Hoang Van Duong - Head of Payroll VP Bank introduced the program of supporting enterprises to pay wages through VPBank account, thereby creating conditions for enterprises to save time, costs and human resources. as well as transparent and effective cash flow management.

Conclusion of the conference, Mr. Vu Duc Giang - President of VITAS said that the Mekong Delta is a key transfer of investment from major cities and suggested to the Mekong Delta units: need to strengthen orientation cooperate in the area, establish close links; Focusing on solutions on corporate governance, human resources, markets, trademarks ...; cooperate with Saigon New Logistics Corporation and logistic units to enhance the use of ports in Can Tho to reduce costs and improve competitiveness. VITAS President requested enterprises to update their information in the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Directory, as well as coordinate and participate in VITAS's activities for the benefit of the enterprises themselves. Mr. Giang also said that VITAS is willing to organize to lead the local departments to visit the new textile and apparel industrial zones,
