Vu Duc Giang, Chairman of Vitas, predicted Vietnam's textile and garment exports to reach $ 200 billion in 2035.
Vitas has responded to Japanese reporters on the business results of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Industry (DMVN) in 2017, with export to key markets such as the US, EU, Japan and Korea. on production plan in 2018.
In 2017, DMVN exported $ 31.2 billion and is expected to reach $ 34.5 billion in 2018. Even when the TPP Agreement entered into force in August, 1818, DMVN's export volume even increased by 3% over the forecast.
Today, before the trend of industrial revolution 4.0, new spinning mills in Vietnam are equipped with modern equipment, high automation. Previously a mill ten thousand spindles need 100 employees, now only 32 employees. Automated apparel industry is more difficult than the yarn industry, but new investment plants are also equipped with some automation. In particular, garment enterprises do not intend to expand their scale, but shift their production from pure CM to FOB and ODM to increase value.
Facing the situation of the world textile and geo-textile market with many changes, with the favorable factors for DMVN, Vitas President predicted the growth of DMVN industry to develop strongly until 2035, total export turnover can be up to $ 200 billion.
