Vinatex organizes Vietnam-Canada trade promotion seminar in Canada

The Comprehensive Partnership and Transponder Agreement (CPTPP) has been signed and will enter into force in early 2019. CPTPP will bring many benefits to Vietnamese garment enterprises, Opportunity to expand the market and promote development, increase export turnover.
Although CPTPP does not have US market - the market accounts for nearly 50% of Vietnam's annual garment export turnover, but there are many potential markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Chile. The CPTPP field accounts for 13% of the global economy with over 500 million people. In particular, the Canadian market is a very potential market with the import turnover of textiles reached about $ 13.3 billion per year. However, Vietnam's textile exports to Canada are still relatively modest, reaching only about $ 550 million a year. Vietnam has not yet signed an FTA agreement with Canada, so CPTPP will help open up opportunities for Vietnam to accelerate the pace of textile and garment development in the Canadian market in the coming years.
In order to seize opportunities and access to information as well as provide more information for textile enterprises in Canada, on 6/8 and 9/8/2018, Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) Canada-Canada trade promotion conference aims to call on Canadian textile importers to expand cooperation and investment with Vinatex and its subsidiaries in two major Canadian cities, Montreal and Toronto. The workshop attracted the attention and involvement of the Canadian Apparel Association and major importers and retailers of Canadian apparel such as Moose Knuckles, Dynamite, Giant Tiger, Reitmans, Penningtons. , Lululemon, ... The import and retail of textiles and garments of Canada have studied and worked with each Vinatex enterprise such as Hanoi Textile Garment Joint Stock Company, Hoa Tho Textile Joint Stock Company, German General Corporation Giang - JSC, Phong Phu International Joint Stock Company to find out more details of each item (knitwear, jacket, women's clothing, children's clothing, towel, denim, ...). Canada always needs garment made of natural fibers, suitable for garment in Vietnam.
At the end of the two workshops, Canadian garment enterprises highly valued Vinatex and its affiliates in terms of capacity as well as the preparation of resources to take advantage of the opportunities offered by CPTPP. The businesses also appreciate each line that Vinatex member units are currently producing.
