VITAS held the training session called Initiative to reach the pinnacle and innovate on building safety and life

On 10/07/2018, the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) together with the Netherlands Trade Organization for Sustainable Development (IDH) organized a training course on " Initiative to reach the pinnacle and initiative on building safety and life "to convey the experience with many useful lessons for textile and footwear enterprises in the North.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong, Vice Rector of Hanoi Textile and Garment Industry University, representatives from VITAS, IDH as well as representatives of textile and garment enterprises in the North. attendance. 

Speaking at the ceremony, IDH representative in Vietnam said: "To address some of the issues of sustainable development in the textile and footwear sector, IDH has launched the Race to Summit The Top - RTTT - a multilateral initiative within the framework of the Global Green Growth Forum (3GF), co-organized by public and private sector partners such as the Dutch and Danish Governments , major brands in the world (GAP, NIKE, MARKS & SPENCER, LEVI STRAUSS & CO.), international organizations (SAC, IFC), producers (SAITEX) Better Work. The vision is to provide and improve the economic, social and reputational benefits of the sustainable apparel industry, workers and the community. At present, the program "Reaching to the top" with the cooperation of ministries and industry associations, international organizations and private sector partners signed a Cooperation Agreement on October 27, . And the training session today is within the framework of This agreement. This is a voluntary multi-partner program to support responsible production and trade for Vietnamese textiles and footwear by IDH as the coordinating body. "

In addition, IDH representatives said that after the training in the North, IDH and VITAS will continue to organize the textile and footwear businesses in the south to grasp the skills in management, as well as integration in the context of the forthcoming 4.0 revolution.
 

At the training sessions, garment enterprises are taught by leading experts in the world, including: 1. Introduction and training for workers in association of laborers, led by Huong Vu - Team Leader counseling on employee association; 2. Introduction and guidance for Lean training - Capacity building training delivered by Khoa Dang - Lean Consultant Team - Capacity Building; 3. Introduction and guidelines for energy saving and water saving plants led by Mr. Dang Quang Vinh - Team Leader on energy saving and water training solutions; 4. Training on occupational safety and construction in the factory is taught by two leading experts: Mr. Khabir Abdul - South Asia Manager - TUV-SUD & Mr. Luong Nguyen Hoang Anh, Project Engineer, TUV-SUD Vietnam.
